ReelMap — Terms of Service

1. What ReelMap is

ReelMap is a personal map app: you share Instagram Reels or TikTok links with the app, and ReelMap extracts the venue and pins it on your private map. ReelMap is operated by an individual developer ("we", "us").

2. Your account

ReelMap works without registration: each installation gets an anonymous account automatically. You may optionally link it to an Apple, Google, or email identity to back up your map and use it on multiple devices. Linking keeps the same account and map. You are responsible for the activity on your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use ReelMap to violate any law or third-party right, including Instagram's and TikTok's terms; (b) submit links that are not publicly accessible posts; (c) attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service or circumvent its rate limits; (d) use automated means to access the service.

4. Your content

The links you submit and the pins created from them belong to your map. You grant us the limited right to process submitted links (including fetching the public post's caption and metadata through third-party services) solely to provide the feature. Post content, venue names, and creator handles remain the property of their respective owners.

5. Third-party content and services

Pins are generated automatically from public social-media posts using third-party services: scraping (Apify), AI text analysis (Groq), and geocoding (OpenStreetMap Nominatim); maps are provided by Apple Maps and Google Maps; abuse protection by Cloudflare Turnstile. Extracted information (including venue locations) may be inaccurate — verify before you travel. We are not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok, or the creators whose posts you save.

6. Availability and limits

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Turning a shared post into a pin consumes paid processing, so spot extraction is subject to a monthly per-user quota (re-shares of already-known posts don't count against it). Current limits are shown in-app when reached and may change over time; attempting to bypass limits or automate requests may result in access being blocked. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it (currently zero).

7. Ending things

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in Settings → Delete account & map. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be shown in the app and require renewed acceptance. Continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The English version of this document governs. Contact: support@getreelmap.app
